Ruse Football Club

We are pleased to confirm that member clubs can continue to conduct football activities this weekend, however existing COVID-19 Safety Plans should be reviewed to ensure compliance with the updated Public Health Order (PHO).

In summary:

Anyone attending football matches or training must wear a mask.

People may remove their mask only for strenuous physical exercise (e.g. to warm up, train, play or referee), or when eating or drinking, and must put their masks back on at all other times, including spectators, coaches, managers, substitutes etc.

Similar to earlier orders, there are other exemptions that apply including for children under 12, people with autism or intellectual disabilities and other health conditions.

People who either live or work in any of the seven named LGAs (Bayside, City of Sydney, Canada Bay, Inner West, Randwick, Waverley and Woollahra) should avoid travel to Wollondilly Shire.

If you live or work in any of these seven LGA’s and you have a game scheduled in Wollondilly Shire this weekend, unfortunately the PHO restricts you from entering Wollondilly Shire this weekend.

The MFA has determined that matches will continue as planned in Wollondilly this weekend.

We ask each individual to consider the PHO and how it affects their participation in scheduled matches.

Clubs significantly impacted by this restriction are encouraged to contact the office.

Social distancing:

Capacity restrictions now apply so that spaces must have no more than one person per 4 metres squared.

The MFA, together with Football NSW recommend that change rooms remained closed this weekend.

Dugouts can again only be used with appropriate social distancing.

we trust that everyone from players to officials to spectators will be mindful of their responsibility to our community more broadly and does the right thing.

In short:

Wear your mask, practice social distancing, and if you’re unwell, get tested and then stay home.

Further to the above, we understand Football NSW will be postponing State Cup matches scheduled this weekend. As a result, local matches originally placed on hold will be reinstated.
